Content Curation using Flipboard:

Students are using Flipboard to curate articles to help prepare them for Diane Cooper's World History Research paper. With either the flipboard app or Chrome extension, students are creating a "Magazine" labelled History Research Paper curate articles. Whether it's Chrome, News App, BBC App, Snapchat, Facebook,  however, you read and access news articles, you can send them all to Flipboard and easily house them in one location.  Why Flipboard and not just send an article to Chrome's "Read Later" section Because Flipboard is a Social Media tool. Unlike, Chrome or Safari's Read Later or Bookmark options, students can follow each other's list of articles that they curated called "Magazines."  Alternatively, for Diane Cooper's Global Affairs course, she created a "Magazine" of carefully curated articles that she wanted her students to read for the course. These articles can act as a digital textbook or supplement to the course and students just need to follow her feed to view the articles. Flipboard is also collaborative, so students can work on pairs or in teams to curate a set of articles and share them their classmates or teacher.
