Explore the human body, time travel, tour the globe. There are a myriad of reasons to try out VR in the classroom. Check out this article on 10 reasons to use Virtual reality in the classroom.
What is VR?
In simplest terms virtual reality is the use of computer technology to created a simulated immersive experience using a headset. At LFA we own 6 Veer cardboard headsets and 6 Utopia 360 headsets. The user has to download a VR app on their phone and place it in the headset. Some apps work better than others, have different content and may only work with specific headsets. Research and experimentation has to be done in order to find the best app that works for your specific purpose.
Still not certain VR would work for your classroom? Just try searching google to see what lessons already exist in your content area.
